About the Award
Established in February 2010, the Heart & Soul Award, presented by O’Connor Mortuary, honors different individuals each month for their role as an exemplary and inspiring person within the Orange County community. Open to interpretation, the award will recognize OC residents for their passion for life and for pouring their heart and soul into making a difference, whether it is for an ongoing lifestyle or a one-time inspirational achievement.
In collaboration with HKA, Inc. Public Relations, O’Connor Mortuary will continually search for candidates for the Heart & Soul Award through local organizations (such as city community centers or service groups) and personal nominations from members of the Orange County community. Upon careful review, the most inspirational candidate will be selected once every month and will receive an official plaque, public recognition via a media announcement made within their city and a donation made in their name to a nonprofit organization of their choice. On a quarterly basis, O’Connor Mortuary will host an award reception for the previous three winners of the Heart & Soul Award.
