Welcome to the New O’Connor Blog!

Welcome Everyone to the New & Improved O’Connor Blog!

While this blog has been around for a while we’ve decided it’s time to change it up & we’re so happy you’re joining us! We have developed a team that will exclusively feature the blog posts of O’Connor Mortuary employees. On the team we have people who have been working for O’Connor anywhere from 3 to 20 years and represent the various facets of our business. We are made up of funeral directors, administrative specialists, owners, an embalmer, accountant, marketing director and me, the humble data entry girl.

Needless to say, we’ve had our fair share of profound and meaningful experiences and THIS is where we want to share them!

What we want to happen here is simple: we want to inspire, share and grow with and within our community. You will be reading blog posts that touch on topics of self-help, personal experiences, life-lessons, community outreach and personal and community resources.

We’ll be posting just 2 or 3 times a week on topics that we think are relative to the specific industry we belong to, the families we serve, and the community at large. Please join us on this new endeavor and participate with us through following us and commenting on our posts. We welcome your feedback and look forward to seeing how this blog becomes a place for all of us to learn from, be inspired, and challenged by.

With this being our big kick-off, we would love to know any of the following about YOU.

– What brought you to this page? Why are you following us?

– How did you learn about O’Connor Mortuary? What experience brought you to us?

– What questions do you have for a mortuary staff? What would you like to know specifically about O’Connor’s history?

Thanks for following us, I am really looking forward to writing & reading with you.

About Molly Keating

Hi, I’m Molly and I write for the blog here at O’Connor. I grew up in a mortuary with a mortician for a father who’s deep respect for the profession inspired me to give working at a mortuary a try.
Work at O’Connor has brought together two of my deep passions, writing & grief awareness. In 2016 I earned Certification in the field of Thanatology, the study of Death, Dying and Bereavement. I am honored to be able to speak on these taboo topics with knowledge, compassion, and a unique perspective.
I want to sincerely thank you for following & reading the blog, I hope that this is a healing place for you.
